10 – Dante’s Dungeon
Dante’s Dungeon, the horror-filled thrill ride featuring the smoke-blowing demon and three-headed dragon above the entrance, is an underrated classic at Morey’s Piers.
The ride isn’t too scary for the average rider, but still has enough ghoulish spirit to get even the hardest of riders to jump in their seats.
Take a slow, creepy journey through this castle-like attraction and enjoy a wonderful fright!
9 – Moby Dick
Moby Dick is another classic thrill ride at Morey’s Piers, and like many of the rides on our list, rests on Mariner’s Pier.
This fun ride has riders strapped into seats in front of a backdrop decorated with sailors and the tail of a large whale (“Moby Dick”).
Riders are raised and lowered in a circular motion (never upside down), and most often, it’s hard not to laugh and enjoy yourself while on this thrilling attraction!
8 – AtmosFEAR!
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to freefall? Well, now’s your chance to ride AtmosFEAR! at Surfside Pier at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ.
Slowly ascend to a height of 140 feet and gaze over the incredible view of Wildwood, the beach and ocean, or both!
Don’t get too comfortable, though, because not before long, AtmosFEAR! drops riders all the way to the bottom at 50 miles per hour! Don’t miss this one, especially if you’re not afraid of heights.
7 – Maelstrom
This thrill ride straps riders in before spinning them around and around for several minutes. The ride then lifts riders up and even goes upside down, but it never stops spinning!
If you get motion sickness easily or are afraid of being upside down, this ride is not recommended. If, however, you’re looking for a fun, exciting thrill ride that will give you the ride of your life, then Maelstrom is one of the best rides Morey’s Piers has to offer.

6 – Ghost Ship
The Ghost Ship opened up a few years ago, and ever since, it’s been providing good and fun scares for the whole family.
Don’t think that this spooky attraction is only for Halloween – the ship is open all season long and is just as scary in the summer! You can’t get away with being saved by the daylight, however, as the Ghost Ship only opens after 5pm daily.
Go with friends, family, or by yourself, if you dare – walk through dark hallways, around corners, and hidden passageways while live actors jump out from various places. You’ll be frightened, sure, but it’s all in good fun and is a one-of-a-kind experience down the shore in Wildwood, NJ.
5 – “it”
“it” is a recent addition to Surfside Pier at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ. This claw-like thrill ride swings back and forth as it spins riders in circles.
The ride swings riders up in the air over 65 feet and spins around continuously, so only go on this one if you don’t mind getting a little dizzy!
“it” is somewhat similar to Maelstrom, but it’s got its own thrill and is definitely a ride for the avid thrill seeker.
4 – FLY! – The Great Nor’Easter
FLY! – The Great Nor’Easter is easily the most intense ride, roller coaster or otherwise, at Morey’s Piers. This twisting, steel roller coaster calls Surfside Pier its home.
With over 2,000 feet of track, you’re sure to twist and turn over Ocean Oasis waterpark as you fly at speeds up to 50 miles per hour.
This is a must-ride for the experienced thrill seeker, but it’s definitely worth it. It’s intense, it’s fun, and it’s only at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ.
3 – The Great White
This wooden roller coaster stands as arguably the best attraction on Adventure Pier at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ.
While a little bumpy, as most wooden roller coasters are, The Great White is a fantastic roller coaster that isn’t too intense. So if you have a little one or you yourself don’t want to go crazy on a roller coaster that turns you upside down, The Great White is a great option.
The roller coaster first sends riders into a dark tunnel before climbing a hill and sending the riders down 105 feet and over hills and turns before reaching the station. You’re sure to get a thrill riding The Great White.
2 – Giant Wheel
There is perhaps no better view than atop the Giant Wheel on Mariner’s Pier at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ.
The Giant Wheel is one of the largest Ferris wheels on the east coast, standing at 156 feet tall. The wheel slowly turns before pausing at its peak for you to get a glimpse at the beauty of Wildwood, NJ.
You can see way out over the ocean, back into the town and beyond. It’s a magnificent view that you can’t really beat anywhere else.

1 – Sea Serpent
Hands down, the best ride at Morey’s Piers is the classic Sea Serpent roller coaster sitting in the middle of Mariner’s Pier.
The ride is a classic at the Wildwood boardwalk and for good reason. The looping rollercoaster first pulls riders backward up a steep 120-foot incline before letting the train loose to send upside down three times forward and then three times backward, at all 55 miles per hour!
The Sea Serpent is pretty intense, but also a lot of fun for roller coaster enthusiasts, and the view of the beach, ocean, and surrounding area is great atop this iconic Wildwood ride.
